...for the relaxing days of spring and
summer. Besides, in this matter as in many others, it is evident that
nature abhors a quitter.
This week has forced me to face the harsh realization that winter is fast approaching. It all started with "Mom! An icicle!" on Monday evening. And it has only gone downhill from there.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a peaceful winter's night curled up on the couch with a movie as much as the next gal. And the clothes...they aren't too shabby either. But when you live in New England, you have a large circular driveway, a full class load, and a kiddo to get to school; piles of snow are not exactly welcome. Unless they grace us with their presence on Saturday.
Despite my trepidation regarding the impending winter season, I can appreciate the beauty that comes with frosty weather. And because I aspire to be an optimist, I'm going to look at some of the loveliness winter affords me:
Warm socks, hot drinks and cozy pajamas. Okay, sign me up. I just hope Winter takes it easy on this old gal.

I LOVE WARM, COMFY CLOTHES!!! I hope you or your little one got at least a delay or early closing! My roommate is at UConn and had 2 days of classes cancelled.
