High Five for Friday: How Sarah got her groove back

Friday, February 8, 2013

This was a good week. After week-who-shall-not-be-named, it was nice to find some sort of groove. Admittedly, having Mario around made a huge difference. He resumes traveling on Sunday, so I'm soaking up every minute. Don't go. I'll eat you up I love you so.

1. Starbucks and I made nice! It's the only suitable coffee shop in town for studying, so I couldn't be happier. I was really worried my favorite homework place had lost it's mojo. Turns out it was just a temporary mental block. 2. Another surprise 3-day weekend. Yahoo! I love when snow days fall on Friday because I don't have to consider putting on real pants for three whole days. With the storm of the century (thus far, at least) supposedly bearing down on the Northeast, schools were called off last night. I must admit things have been pretty anticlimactic thus far.  3. Kiddo made it to level 4 out of 9 after six weeks of lessons! He's a natural, so we signed him up for the 3 week extension. He also took his first solo trip up and down the mountain. I was a little nervous, but he did simply amazing.  4. My car was at the dealership for some warranty work on Wednesday, and I didn't have class until 2p, so Mario and I spent the day together. We went out to breakfast and lunch, which although a  bit indulgent, definitely made up for lost time. I can't get enough of that stud muffin.  5. Hurrah for the local froyo place that stays open year round. You guys are my hero. I'm not sure how you are braving a New England winter, but boy am I glad you are trying.

Happy Friday!

  5. Yeay for a great day! I am so envious of you for living up in NH, that would be my dream one day, for now, I'm stuck in hot TX! Where did you guys move from? You are an awesome mommy by the way, your son is one lucky boy. I love me some starbucks, but unfortunately, a bit pricey, and we are trying to save some dough. Hope you have a great weekend, would love to be snowed in too :(
