Christoper Moore
I have been feeling a little guilty lately regarding my wish for a swift end to winter.
It is selfish, really.
As much as I yearn for brighter skies and little green on the ground, the day that the snow fades away will be bittersweet, indeed.
No more snow fort.
No more Saturday ski dates with Dad.
No more snowball fights.
I can wear boots a little longer.
I can wear my cozy sweaters for a few more weeks.
I can suck it up and snow blow the driveway. Yet again.
Because nothing beats seeing his rosy, happy face this time of year.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.

:) This just makes me smile. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat great moments you captured! And I really love how you quoted Dumbledore:) Gets me every time.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun snow versus the icy crap we seem to get. That and there are no longer kids riding sleds or building snowmen or any of the cool things that make snow more tolerable.
ReplyDeleteWatching Kiddo have this kind of fun definitely makes the cold dreary days worth it. When he leaves for college, I'm moving to Texas. :)
