It is good to have an end to journey toward;

 but it is the journey that matters, in the end.

Holy First Class foot room, Batman!

Hello, Montana. We're here!

Our travels started Friday night. We were facing a 5a flight, so we spent the night at a hotel near the airport. We rolled out of bed, hopped on the shuttle and were on our way.

First we had the most amazing Mexican dinner. Authentic Mexican food is one of life's greatest pleasures.

For the second leg of the journey, which was the longest, Mario kindly gave me his First Class upgrade while he and Kiddo stayed a few rows back in Economy. That guy is something else.

Jared is a great flyer. I just adore that kid.

As far as traveling goes these days, this was a pretty calm journey. We did nearly miss our first flight because the airline check-in counter was backed up. My suitcase didn't make it to our destination, but was eventually tracked down and delivered. Oh, and a touch of food poisoning from an airport salad threatened to get me down for a bit. I started feeling better... little can keep me away from my favorite sandwich in the whole world: The Veggie from The Pickle Barrel. Deeelish.

My favorite part of the trip thus far? My neighbor in First Class. Tom Brokaw. His voice is the best. I resisted the urge to ask him to read me the Sky Mall catalog. I could talk to him all day.
