Spring has sprung.

Monday was one of those days where you wake up in a cold sweat, suddenly aware of the length of your to-do list. Twenty hours later I was still wide awake, plugging away at the lab report that never ends.

That morning, however, I did something I rarely do:

I took a moment.

A moment to breathe.
To reflect.
To walk away from it.
All of it.

I dropped my car off to be inspected (my inspection and registration expired in April, which only added to the stress), and went for a walk. With my camera. And perhaps for the first time since I began this journey, I enjoyed a New England spring. Our first to last.

The colorful blooms and emerging buds are more than just indications of warmer weather... they signify a new beginning. I haven't stopped to really, truly ponder the fact that my life is going through a spring of sorts as well.

It was high time I let that juicy little tidbit sink in.

From my perch on lovely wooden bench, surrounded by brilliant foliage, there was this beauty:

God's gift to carb-craving, sleep deprived college students everywhere.

  1. Those flowers are pretty - but God, that bagel looks divine. (not a college student - but a carb starved, dieting mom) Did I mention how good it looks?

PS - there is a light at the end of this tunnel - it will lead you to another tunnel, but that is half the fun - figuring where it will lead you next. Keep plugging along gal!
