There are no exceptions to this rule.

Stephen King

I'm full of thoughts but short on words this week. It happens to the best of us.
(I just came across this quote. Boy did it resonate. A wise man, Stephen King.)

The boys are back and life is trying to resume with some level of normalcy. It's amazing how just a few days can change the whole feel of things. How after less than a week, our 6a rise and shine can feel especially torturous. How we flail a little when it comes to resuming a schedule.

This week is promising to bring a few showers. But more importantly, milder temps. Oh to see something green again. Color! I crave color!

Mother Nature has a way of keeping us humble, as she did earlier this week in the form of freezing rain. Although I couldn't be more over this never-ending winter, I do love a little coating of ice. The world shimmers like it's encrusted with diamonds. I walked around the yard, camera in hand, and just took it all in. Lovely.

I'm officially shooting in manual, so some of my photos are over- or underexposed. It's all a part of the process, no? Happy Thursday!

  1. Pretty - I usually love how an ice storm looks, but this year I will pass on any more winter weather! Great photos :-)

  3. Beautiful Sarah! And congrats on making the final leap to manual... I am still clinging to the automatic mode 50% of the time... Not ready to remove the floaties yet! :-)
