I've been known to wear a polka dot scarf with a striped blazer. In neutral colors, of course. Let's not get too crazy. The fact is, I admire those who mix patterns with confidence. When done well, it's interesting and super stylish.

So where is the line between hot and hot mess? Perhaps I'm missing the bigger picture. That's definitely possible. Although I aspire to be a fashionista, I wouldn't consider myself someone who experiments too much. Good thing there is already a Lady Gaga...because I'll never wear a meat dress. Lame, I know.
Despite my open mind, some of the combos my favorite brands come up with scream "wealthy bag lady" at me from the page. Is there even such a thing?

Any insights? Have you found the line?
I don't know if I'm brave enough to mix too many prints, though I have done striped and floral before. It feels the safest :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of prints, they scare me lol.
ReplyDeleteI will be the crazy commenter here! I love to mix prints! I'm sure I have some hits and some misses, but I like to try different combinations and see what works. Stripes, florals, polka dots - you name it, I will mix it!
ReplyDeleteLove the mixed up style. Stopping in from Monday Mingle.
